We recently announced this exciting course coming to goNORTH this year.  It is specifically designed for people who want to break into film and television drama.  This one day intensive training course consists of a series of practical exercises, which will equip you with the knowledge, tools and experience to help you break into the film and television industry.

Devised and tutored by industry professionals, the course focuses on entry level positions in drama production and specifically the role of the Runner.  It’s very informal and a lot of fun too.

Designed for people at the start of their career who have been trying to get a foot in the door and secure their first job, as well as those with a couple of credits looking to improve their professional practice and fill the gaps in their understanding of how it all works.

Deadline for application is 9.30am on Thursday 10th May.

goNORTH 2012 Short Film Screening Programme ANNOUNCED

Open Call For Submissions – THE SUBMISSION WINDOW IS NOW CLOSED

We are thrilled to announce our first short film screening programme at this year’s goNORTH creative industries festival.  The films were selected from an open call for submissions for engaging, story driven content up to 20 mins.  We had a superb response and were delighted by the variety and creative flair shown in many of them.

This is the first year for our Short Film programme at goNORTH and the quality and diversity of the films we’ve received has been amazing.    Together with our curated features strand, we’ll be screening our short films across the two days of goNORTH on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th June.

We’ll be giving our Filmmakers the opportunity to screen their films at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Tiree Music Festival, The Wickerman Festival and Loopallu.  We are also expanding our screening partnerships with film festivals across Europe and America, details of which will be announced in the run up to goNORTH.
